Happy Summer and Fair Week, Rocket Families!
We hope you're enjoying the summer, vacations, and time with friends and family. We also want to wish everyone good luck that are participating in the fair week activities.
I’m TJ Dorsey, the Superintendent for the 2025-2026 School year, and I want to welcome both new and returning families to Clermont Northeastern for another exciting school year. While I am new to this role I am not new to the district. I am starting my 17th year in education, all of them have been in Clermont Northeastern.
Our administration team hopes to see everyone back on campus very soon! Everyone has been working hard all summer to make 2025-2026 a great year focused on the future.
We know that when families, staff, and the community work together, our students thrive. That’s why we’re focusing on collaboration and clear communication in the year ahead.
Over the summer, we’ve made upgrades across the district to update our learning environments. Some highlights include:
Newly renovated restrooms at the elementary school
Brand-new furniture to modernize the middle school
An upgraded weight room at the high school
Curriculum enhancements across all grade levels
These are investments in our students, our staff, and our future.
Together, we’ll keep building a district that puts students first, honors our history, and embraces the future.
Let’s make it a great year.
Safety Communication Test
Schools are required to test our emergency communication systems each year. We will conduct our emergency communications test second attempt for all families and all emergency contacts on
August 1st @ 12:00 pm.
Please take a moment to make sure all of your contact information is up to date in FINALFORMS and that you have notified all of your emergency contacts. Once the test is completed please check in with your emergency contacts to make sure they received the proper communication during the test. If not please check FINALFORMS for the proper information before reaching out to troubleshoot any errors.

Each year we kick of the back to school season with our open house. The entire campus will be open and welcoming for everyone to see, ask questions, pick up schedules, walk the halls and enjoy community connection. Join us on campus for a fun, informative kickoff! School supplies from local businesses and community groups will be available.
First Day of School
August 14
We’re excited to welcome students back!
As many of you know, we’ve had a cell phone policy in place for some time. With recent comments from Governor DeWine and pending legislation, we’re taking stronger steps to ensure phones are completely out of instructional time—no exceptions.
This isn’t just about following state guidance. It’s about creating a safe, focused learning environment free from distractions.
Enforcing this will be a team effort. We need students, families, and staff working together to help make this shift successful. Please talk with your student about the importance of being present and limiting phone use during the day.
District-wide Expectations:
To comply with legislation: Phones must be off or in airplane mode and out of sight during class. No use during school hours. Exceptions will be made for students for medical reasons with prior approval. In case of any school emergency students will be directed on when and how best to use cellphones to make contact with families. This will be further explained by building.
We understand this is an adjustment, but it’s one that supports learning, minimizes social distractions, and strengthens school culture. With your support, we’re confident this will be a positive change for all.
As part of our continued efforts to ensure technology enhances—not distracts from—learning, we’re also updating our approach to Chromebook and device use across all grade levels.
This year, Chromebooks will only be used during the school day when they are specifically required as part of the lesson plans. This intentional use of technology will help students stay focused, avoid screen fatigue, and engage more meaningfully in classroom activities.
Additional building-specific guidelines include:
Middle & Elementary School: Chromebooks will remain at school and be stored in charging carts. This ensures devices are charged, maintained, and ready to go for the next school day.
High School: Devices will be used only when directed by teachers. Students should not expect to have Chromebooks open or in use all day, every day.
Your support in reinforcing these expectations at home is greatly appreciated.
To help create a safer and more controlled elementary drop-off process, we will be changing our morning routine to more closely mirror the afternoon pick-up procedure. This adjustment will help keep all traffic on school property and reduce the impact on morning traffic along Hutchinson Road.
More details will be shared soon, including specific instructions on where families should park before the 8:20 AM drop-off window begins. Please keep an eye out for updates in upcoming emails and newsletters from both the elementary and district office.
Updated school supply lists for all grade levels are now posted! You can find them on our school website as well as by using the following link:
