The District Countdown will serve as your one-stop shop for updates across the district. While buildings may still share grade-level or building-specific updates, this newsletter is designed to be the best place for all families—no matter the grade level—to stay informed about what’s happening in our schools. |
We are excited to share our district’s new 100 Day Plan, a road map designed to set clear benchmarks, create a sense of urgency, and guide the vision of our schools moving forward. This plan focuses on building strong systems of support, improving communication, and aligning our resources to best serve students, staff, and families. Over the next 100 days, we will be engaging with staff, students, and community members to gather input and track progress. Together, this plan will help us ensure that every step we take is purposeful, measurable, and moving our district forward.

Phone Usage During School Day |
We are beginning to notice an increasing trend with students attempting to use their phones during class. This disrupts learning and makes it harder to maintain the focused environment we expect at Clermont Northeastern.
Phones must remain off and put away throughout the school day. No phone use in classrooms, hallways, or during instructional time. Emergencies will always be communicated through the main office.
We need everyone’s help in reinforcing these expectations. Consistency matters — the more we work together to hold the line, the clearer the message becomes for our students.
Thank you for supporting a distraction-free, learning-focused environment.

Our preschool families enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Book Fair on October 2, 2025! Children and parents had the opportunity to browse and shop for new books to enjoy at home, and many families took part in our special literacy activity. Parents and students worked side by side to complete a fun activity that encouraged early reading skills and family engagement. In addition, parents attended an information session about PBIS, where they learned more about how we support positive behavior and social-emotional growth in the classroom. Thank you to all who joined us to celebrate the joy of reading, support a love of literacy in our preschool community, and for your continued support of PBIS! |
Thank you parents for coming out to our October 2nd Conference Night! If you were unable to join us please consider signing up for conferences on Thursday, November 3rd.
The staff wants to send out a huge thank you to our PTO for providing lots of snacks and delicious coffee to keep us going at conferences. What a great way to support the staff at CNEES. We appreciate you and all you do!
The Elementary fourth grade students have been learning about thermal energy. As a culminating activity, they each designed ovens using aluminum foil, plastic wrap, popsicles and a cardboard box. After building their “ovens” they slid their graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallow stack inside and then placed their ovens outside on a very sunny day. Here are some thoughts about the project and a few tips about making solar oven s’mores from our kids.
My s’more tasted amazing! The chocolate was nice and the marshmallow was so gooey. It was perfect. Ellie D.
Use lots of plastic wrap and tape all of the holes so no bugs get inside. Emery F.
This project made me feel excited, a little mad, curious and surprised. Ellie D.
It takes thermal energy and heat energy to cook s’mores outside on a sunny day. Landon K.
Don’t miss the October activities at the ES!
