Listening Sessions Coming in November

Shaping the Future of CNE: Community Listening Sessions

Clermont Northeastern Schools is excited to invite families and community members to take part in our upcoming Listening Sessions — an important opportunity to share feedback, ideas, and hopes for the future of our district.

These sessions are a key part of our “100 Days to Future Focus” plan, which is designed to gather authentic input from our community to help shape the next chapter of CNE. Our goal is simple — to create a future that reflects not only what our community wants, but what our community needs. Your voice matters in that process.

We’ll be hosting two sessions:

Middle & High School Listening Session — Tuesday, November 19 at 5:30 PM in the High School Commons

Preschool & Elementary Listening Session — Wednesday, November 20 at 5:30 PM in the High School Commons

Each session will include a facilitator to guide discussion, capture ideas, and ask key questions that will help us better understand your perspectives and priorities.

If you’re unable to attend in person, don’t worry — we’ll also be offering survey opportunities so everyone can participate and have their voice heard in a meaningful way.

Together, we can ensure that the future of Clermont Northeastern is one built on collaboration, connection, and a shared vision for our students and community.

District Calendar Feedback

Dear Families,

Your input makes a big difference! Last year, family feedback helped us navigate the tricky process of creating our school calendar. While it may not seem exciting, your thoughts are crucial as we plan important dates.

Even with some fixed dates—like holidays, agreements, and events such as the Pumpkin Run—your ideas help us make the calendar work best for our students and families. This year, our goal is to plan two years’ worth of calendars so everyone can have plenty of notice of key events.

Survey LINK

Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey by October 27th at 12:00 PM.

Master Facilities Plan Feedback

We need your help to chart the course for the future of Clermont Northeastern Schools.

We are launching our effort to create a Master Facilities Plan—a strategic document that will guide every dollar of investment in our school buildings and campus for years to come. This is about ensuring our physical spaces are safe, modern, and provide the best opportunities for every student.

But for this plan to truly succeed, it must reflect the vision of every resident who calls the CNE district home, not just those with current students.

Step 1: Complete the Survey Yourself

If you live in the CNE district, please start by completing the Community Feedback Survey yourself. It only takes 10–15 minutes, and your feedback is essential for weighing the importance of maintenance, modernization, and expanding opportunities.

Step 2: Be a Community Connector

This step is the most critical: We need your help reaching your neighbors.

Many long-time residents, older community members, and those without children in the district don't receive our school emails or newsletters. Yet, their voices and their perspective on the community's future are invaluable.

We are asking you to be the trusted messenger. Please forward this email, post the link, or share the QR code with neighbors and friends who may not be on our list.

A special request: If you have an older neighbor or someone who isn't as tech-savvy, please offer to help them complete the survey using the link above. Capturing these voices ensures our plan serves the entire CNE community.

Together, we can ensure the Master Facilities Plan is built upon an honest and open assessment of needs from every single corner of our district.

Thank you for being the strongest advocates for CNE.

Students in the Spotlight

CNE Leo Club Shines at Trunk or Treat!

Our CNE Leo Club members showed incredible leadership and responsibility at the PTO Trunk or Treat on October 23rd at the Elementary School. These students not only volunteered their time but went above and beyond—staying after the event to help clean up and make sure everything was wrapped up smoothly.

PTO member Kim shared how impressed she was by the way our Leos stepped up and went the extra mile. We couldn’t agree more—these students made CNE proud!

A big shoutout to our outstanding Leos:
Willow Marttes
Palmer Landis
James Hinson
Mackenzie Hinson
Brandon Pheleps
Eden Thacker
Kruse Cunningham
Nella Campbell
Isebel Spear
Micheal Howard
Destiney Houston Hedges

Way to lead by example, Leos!

Preschool Update

Halloween Spirit Week is next week! We’re so excited to celebrate with a week full of festive fun and creativity! Each day will have a special theme for the children to enjoy — from wearing their favorite costumes to showing off their spooky (but friendly!) Halloween spirit. Families are encouraged to help their little ones participate in the daily dress-up themes and activities. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our preschoolers to express themselves, build excitement for Halloween, and enjoy some seasonal magic together!

Elementary Update

The “Trunk or Treat” Event at the Elementary was a huge success! Thank you to the CNEES PTO for organizing the event. We could not have done it without our parent and community volunteers and our amazing CNE High School students that joined us to paint faces during the event. We had a record number of trunks and some very creative and creepy decorations. As usual, the kids were the main attraction all decked out in their costumes. The CNE PTO is working on another family opportunity for fun in December. We will be sure to add the details in an upcoming newsletter!

New Attendance Initiative

The goal of the attendance initiative is to improve attendance and reduce tardiness. Students who had no tardies for the first quarter were eligible to be entered into a raffle by homeroom for a prize from Mrs Widolff, our attendance coordinator. Students with no unexcused absences for the first quarter were also entered into a raffle for a chance to participate in an extra recess. The kids loved it! We will continue this initiative until the end of the year.
